Route the Right Audio to the Right Room

An audio hub is the brain of a multi-room sound system. This unit is a true 6×6 matrix: it can play six different sources to six zones at the same time — background music in one wing, a live announcement in another, a lesson in a third — each with its own independent 15-level volume. Multiple sources and microphones run simultaneously without interfering with one another.

It combines mixing, playback and paging in one box: three microphone inputs with switchable 48V phantom power, line and aux inputs, a built-in USB/SD music player, an FM tuner and Bluetooth. Up to six remote paging microphones can be added at distances up to 200 metres, and an EMC emergency input takes top priority for safety announcements.

When you need this. For a single classroom, the panel's audio and a pair of active wall speakers are enough. Reach for the audio hub when several rooms or zones need to be driven and managed together — a large or L-shaped classroom, a floor of rooms, or a building that also needs paging.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a multi-zone audio hub?

A multi-zone audio hub is a central mixer and amplifier that drives several independent audio zones from one unit. It lets you choose what plays in each room or area and set each zone's volume separately. The Tralltech audio hub is a 6×6 matrix, so it can send six different sources to six zones at the same time.

Can it play different audio in different rooms at the same time?

Yes. Because it is a true 6×6 matrix, each of the six zones can play a different source simultaneously — for example background music in one area, a live announcement in another and a lesson feed in a third — each with its own independent volume, without the sources interfering with one another.

How many zones and paging microphones does it support?

It drives six independent zones and supports up to six remote paging microphones at distances of up to 200 metres. That makes it suitable for a floor of classrooms, a large or L-shaped room split into areas, or a small building that also needs paging.

What can you connect to it?

It accepts three microphone inputs with switchable 48V phantom power, line and aux inputs, a built-in USB/SD music player, an FM tuner and Bluetooth. It also has an EMC emergency input that overrides other audio for priority announcements, plus a 24V fire-alarm signal input.

What is the difference between 100V and 8–16Ω outputs?

A 100V constant-voltage output is designed for distributed systems — many speakers on long cable runs across a building, which is common for paging and background music. An 8–16Ω low-impedance output drives a smaller number of speakers directly, as in a single room. This hub supports both, so the same unit works for a single hall or a whole floor.

Does it support emergency or fire-alarm announcements?

Yes. The EMC input has the highest priority, so an emergency announcement automatically overrides whatever is playing in the zones. There is also a 24V fire-alarm signal input and recordable chime and alert tones, which is useful for schools and buildings with safety requirements.
