What makes up a classroom audio system?
For a single classroom, a wireless microphone plus a pair of active wall speakers covers it: the teacher's voice and the panel's audio both reach the room clearly. For larger or multiple rooms you add an amplifier with passive speakers, or an audio hub that drives several independent zones from one unit.
Why can't I connect a passive speaker directly to an interactive flat panel?
An interactive flat panel outputs line-level audio, which carries the signal but not the power to drive a speaker. It must connect to an active speaker (which has a built-in amplifier) or to a separate amplifier. Wiring a passive speaker straight to the panel produces little or no sound.
What is the difference between active speakers, an amplifier, and the audio hub?
Active speakers have the amplifier built in and are the simplest choice for a single room. An amplifier plus passive speakers suits halls and large rooms where you place many speakers. The audio hub is a 6×6 matrix that drives up to six independent zones at once — for a floor of rooms or a building that also needs paging.
Can one system cover several classrooms or a whole floor?
Yes. The audio hub is a true 6×6 matrix mixer amplifier: it can send six different sources to six zones simultaneously, each with its own volume, and supports paging microphones across the building. It is the right choice when several rooms or areas need to be managed together.
